Range to SW of Main Barrack Block (including Cadet Training Centre), Raglan Barracks

The building is a range located to the southwest of the Main Barrack Block at Raglan Barracks, designed in a simple Classical style similar to the main barrack block. It is two stories high with a basement, featuring a symmetrical layout constructed from rock-faced, coursed, red sandstone with freestone dressings. Notable architectural details include a first-floor sill band, voussoir lintels, and a sparrow-picked plinth. The slate roof has wide boarded eaves and rubble chimney stacks. The windows are unhorned 12-pane sashes, and the interior retains shutters. The front design consists of eight bays, four bays, and eight bays, with a focus on the central section that has a pediment and a slightly advanced position featuring a blind roundel. The boarded doors have three-pane overlights and are accessed by bridges over iron-railed basement yards, with some basement windows blocked. The pediment treatment is also repeated on the gable ends. The rear of the building mirrors the front, featuring a central pediment and projecting toilet blocks above porches leading to the rear entrances.
