Armoury (including building and yard to right), Raglan Barracks

The Armoury at Raglan Barracks is a simple Classical building dating from the 19th century. It is two stories high and features a symmetrical main front with five bays. The structure is made of coursed rubble with a freestone sill band and similar stone dressings, consistent with the other original barrack buildings. The roof is slate with wide boarded eaves and rubble chimney stacks.

The building has twelve-pane sash windows, some of which have metal bars, and two of the ground floor windows are blocked up. There are two doorways on either side of the central window, with the left-hand doorway also blocked. The gable ends feature a pediment treatment.

To the right of the main building, there is an attached boundary wall with simple gate piers that screens a yard containing a free-standing former mortuary, which has modern gates. Set back to the left is a single-storey rubble range, which also has a pediment treatment on its gable end and features garage doors at the front.
