Monmouth Police Station

Monmouth Police Station is a three-storey building with a double depth plan, featuring rendered and painted walls and Welsh slate roofs. The entrance for the Superintendent's house is on the left, while the station's entry is on the right. The house has four windows, with the ground floor windows and doorway set in semi-circular headed recesses, including a panel door and fanlight, and 6 over 6 pane sashes with radiating heads. There is an impost band and a band between the floors. The first floor windows are tall 6 over 6 pane sashes, with three 6 over 6 sashes above. The roof is hipped, with a rendered stack on the ridge to the left.

On the right side, there is a two-storey extension, which was reported as a single storey in 1974, featuring bands running through. The ground floor has three semi-circular headed windows, one window, and one door, similar to the main building, with 6 over 6 pane sashes above. The roof of the extension is hipped to the right. The return walls are blind, and the rear elevation has been significantly altered and modernised in the late 20th century.

During the resurvey, only the office in the extension was observed, which has been completely modernised. It is noted that the main building does not have any visible historic features.
