Henry Burton Court

Henry Burton Court, located on Glendower Street, consists of six consecutive houses built in coursed red sandstone rubble with Bath stone dressings and tiled roofs. The building is single storey and arranged in an L-shape on either side of a central archway. The large elliptical dressed arch features a gable and is flanked by square towers that have round-headed foot passages, topped with octagonal lanterns and spires with bell-casts. The entrances are located on the north side under pent porches supported by timber. The windows have been replaced with casement windows. The main south elevation showcases a 3-light mullion-and-transom window in a gable for each house, with a recessed doorway situated between them. There is also a small window in the gable end. The roofs are steeply pitched and have brick stacks. The interior was not seen during the resurvey.
