Description
Henry Burton Court, located on Glendower Street, consists of six consecutive houses built in coursed red sandstone rubble with Bath stone dressings and tiled roofs. This single-storey structure is arranged in an L-shape on either side of a central archway. The large elliptical dressed arch is topped with a gable and flanked by square towers that feature round-headed foot passages, which are topped by octagonal lanterns and spires with bell-casts. The entrances on the north side are sheltered by pent porches supported by timber, and the windows have been replaced with casement styles. The main south elevation displays a three-light mullion-and-transom window in a gable for each house, with a recessed doorway situated between them. There is also a small window in the gable end, and the roofs are steeply pitched with brick stacks. The interior has not been seen during the resurvey.
