Description
Red Lion House is a three-storey building with a rectangular double depth plan, constructed with rendered and painted surfaces. It features full-height pilasters at the sides and center, decorative bands at the first and second floors, and an arch over the central first-floor window. The roof is made of Welsh slate and has red brick chimneys.
The façade has five windows, with the ground floor showcasing a canted bay window on either side of the central entrance door, all covered by a small slate lean-to roof. The entrance consists of a part-glazed door accessed by three stone steps with iron rails. The windows on the ground floor are 6 over 6 pane sashes flanked by 2 over 2 pane sashes. The first-floor windows are plain 6 over 6 sashes, while the second-floor windows are 3 over 6, all with stone cills. The roof is hipped and sprocketed, with brick stacks on either end wall. The rear elevation was not visible during the survey.
Only the entrance hall was inspected during the resurvey, and it was noted that this area had been altered in the late 20th century.
