Description

Nos. 18-22 (even) Drybridge Street Rendered and painted elevations, possibly over timber-framing, with a Welsh slate roof and rendered stacks. Three-unit single depth range parallel with the street, and with later extensions to the rear. Two storeys and attics with seven windows to the whole on the first floor. The ground floor has three windows and three doors, W : D : W : D : D : W. The doors are 6-panel ones with a spiders-web fanlight to No. 18 and 3-pane overlights to the others. Tripartite sashes. First floor windows are all 6 over 6 pane sashes. Very steeply pitched roof with three gabled dormers and 2 + 2 panes casements, that to No. 18 is smaller. Three stacks, to left ridge, on front slope between Nos. 18 and 20 and now truncated on right gable. The rear elevation shows a C17 wing on left shared by Nos 20 and 22 and a lower rear wing to No. 18 which may be C19.

The ground floor tripartite sash is a c1900 one. The rear elevation has late C20 features apart from a C19 flat-topped dormer.
