Description
28 Drybridge Street is part of a row of buildings numbered 24-30, dating from the 19th century. The exterior features roughcast render with a painted finish and a plinth, topped by a Welsh slate roof. The building has a double depth plan and stands two storeys high with a total of five windows across the front, while No. 26 has two windows.
On the ground floor, there are four doors and four windows, along with a central archway, arranged in the pattern: door, window, window, door, archway, door, window, window, door. The doors are six-panel designs with flush panels and have steps leading up to them. The central archway is elliptical, featuring a keystone and impost blocks, and there are similar details at the rear and on Drybridge Terrace. All windows are 6 over 6 pane sashes with stone cills. The roof has a moderate pitch and includes large stacks in the party walls between Nos. 24 & 26 and 28 & 30. The rear elevations have been altered but are only partially visible. The interior was not inspected during the resurvey.
