Description

Western Villa is a stucco-faced house with a natural slate roof, built in a double depth central entry plan that includes a service wing to the left rear. The house has two storeys and three windows. The upper windows feature timber Tudor style mullions with two main lights each, 4 over 4 pane sashes, and Tudor heads above the upper lights. The left lower window is similar but includes a timber transom and hoodmould. On the right side, there is a bay window in the Tudor Gothic style, which has a transom window with 6 over 9 panes in the center and 4 over 6 panes in the side lights, topped with a slated roof. The Tudor style door has a 4-centred head, six panels, and is framed by a rustic Tudor style timber porch with a tented roof. The roof has a low pitch with projecting eaves and features a large red brick stack on each gable, which also have wavy bargeboards and spike finials. The external appearance of the building is deteriorating at the time of the survey.

Attached at an angle to the right side is a modern full-height brick garage in a neo-Georgian style. The property includes complete iron railings, gates, and a lamp overthrow. The rear wing has one additional bay with plain 6 over 6 pane sashes on both floors, although the rear elevation was not inspected. The interior was also not inspected during the resurvey.
