Description
Glan Aber is a two-storey house with an attic, constructed from scribe-stuccoed stonework and topped with slate roofs. It features painted stone chimneys with protruding round neck mouldings. The front facade has four gabled windows with Tudor detailing, including shaped bargeboards and labels above the main windows. A stone plinth supports brackets for the sill of the ground floor left window, which is set in a splayed recess. Most windows are sash, with some having four panes due to the removal of glazing bars, while one retains a twelve-pane design to the right; the attic windows are horned, as is the window above the entrance.
The porch and the bay window to its right are later additions. The porch is supported by octagonal stone pillars and has a hipped roof with ironwork cresting. The bay window features a broad central mullion and supports a balcony with a tall wrought-iron parapet, accessible from an upper floor French window. The front door is panelled with a diamond-shaped central panel and a rectangular overlight.
On the left end of the house, there are two part-external lateral chimney breasts and a central gable with a sash window and a Tudor label. The right end has a splayed corner, sixteen-pane sash windows, and a lean-to with a panelled door, along with cresting on the conservatory. The rear of the house is similar in style, featuring plain bargeboards, a central staircase lean-to, horned sashes, and a splayed bay with cresting.
