Description

The Stables and Coach-house Range at Glan Aber is a 19th-century structure built from stone rubble and topped with a slate roof. This long range of outbuildings features a gabled front for both the stables and the coach-house, and includes a single-storey cottage at the left end, positioned close to and at right angles to the main house. The building has stone chimney stacks, and beneath the eaves, there are decorative stone corbels.

The broad gable at the right end has a small diamond-shaped window situated above the boarded carriage doors, while the lower gable to the left features a large circular window with stone voussoirs. The windows include top-opening casements and there are boarded doors. Set back to the left is the coachman's accommodation, which has a 16-pane sash window and a 6-panel door.

The cobbled stable courtyard is partially screened from both the forecourt of the house and the rear garden. The front of the courtyard is defined by a curved wall extending forward from the right-hand end of the house, while the rear is bordered by a stepped wall.
