Description
The estate boundary wall to Gwrych Castle Park is a Grade II listed structure built from uncoursed local limestone. It stands approximately 3.2 meters high and features an oversailing stone-on-edge coping. The stones are arranged alternately vertically and lengthways, creating a rugged appearance known as the "cock and hen" pattern. This section of the wall extends from the King's Lodge to a point where it enters the Llanddulas community, with a reduction in height at one location for the golf club. Additionally, it runs from the King's Lodge along the A547 to a point near Hen Wrych farm lodge, with a reduction in height only once, approximately 100 meters west of the King's Lodge to allow for a secondary drive.
