Nos. 2-8 (even) Merthyr Road is a three-storey house terrace built in roughcast render with a natural slate roof. The layout is a double depth plan, featuring entrances on the outside of the end houses and paired in the center. The terrace has eight windows in total, although each individual house has only one window on the ground floor. All doors are six-panel designs set in light architraves, topped with small pediments supported by console brackets.

The windows are arranged as follows: an 8 over 8 pane sash on the ground floor, a 6 over 6 pane sash on the first floor, and a 3 over 6 pane sash on the top floor. Notably, No. 2 has a 2 over 2 pane sash on the ground floor; No. 4 features all 2 over 2 pane sashes; No. 6 has all its windows intact; and No. 8 has late 20th-century hardwood casements, except for the top floor. The terrace has a hipped roof with shared brick stacks located on the walls between Nos. 2 & 4 and 6 & 8. It also retains what are likely the original low spiked railings and gates along the entire terrace frontage.

The rear elevation and interior were not inspected during the resurvey.
