Nos. 2-8 (even) Merthyr Road is a terrace of houses built in the 19th century. The buildings are roughcast rendered and topped with a natural slate roof. They have a double depth plan, with entrances located on the outside of the end houses and paired in the center. The terrace consists of three storeys and features a total of eight windows, although each individual house has only one window on the ground floor.

All doors are six-panel designs set in light architraves, topped with small pediments supported by console brackets. The windows vary: the ground floor has 8 over 8 pane sashes, the first floor has 6 over 6 pane sashes, and the top floor has 3 over 6 pane sashes. Notably, No. 2 has a 2 over 2 pane sash on the ground floor, No. 4 features all 2 over 2 pane sashes, No. 6 has all its windows intact, and No. 8 has late 20th-century hardwood casements, except for the top floor.

The terrace has a hipped roof with shared brick stacks located on the walls between Nos. 2 and 4, and between Nos. 6 and 8. The property retains what are likely the original low spiked railings and gates along the entire terrace frontage. The rear elevation and interior were not inspected during the resurvey.
