Description

This is a large barn at Henrhiw Farm, built using local rubble stone and finished with a limewash, with a roof of Welsh slate. The rectangular barn has cart doors on opposing sides, leading to the threshing floor. The north elevation is largely as originally constructed, although the plank doors were replaced in the 19th century. This wall features three tiers of square vents, with five on the left and six on the right, and a triangular arrangement of similar vents in the gable. The south elevation is partially hidden by a 20th-century cowshed that adjoins it. The interior, only partially visible, appears to have a roof with six bays supported by queen strut trusses and three tiers of purlins, though only one truss was visible.
