Description
Estavarney Farmhouse is a 19th-century house built from local rubble stone and features a Welsh slate roof with red brick chimneys. The building has an L-shaped plan with an in-line extension at the corner. The main elevation consists of three bays plus one, with the entrance located centrally in the three-bay section. The entrance features a part-glazed panelled door and a Victorian porch with tented ogee heads. Flanking the entrance are three unevenly arranged 3-light timber casements. On the first floor, there are three evenly arranged 3-light casements, with wide stretches of wall on either end. The roof is steeply pitched and includes two gabled dormers, each with 2 + 2 pane casements and gable stacks. To the right, there is an extension that has a small 2 + 2 casement window below and a larger 3-light window above, with a large stack on the external end wall. At the rear, there is a wing that is one bay wide, featuring a door and a chimney visible from the entrance front, while the rear side is not visible. The interior was not available for inspection during the resurvey in November 2000.
