Description
The Double Granary at Henrhiw Farm is a Grade II listed building featuring painted local sandstone rubble walls and hipped Welsh slate roofs. Although it appears to be two separate structures, they are built abutting each other. The eastern section is older and has a lower roof line, with various doors and openings, some of which are blocked, as well as gabled louvred dormers on the north and east roof slopes. The western part, built later, includes a late 20th-century steel garage door on the west side and two louvred openings. Stairs on the north side provide access to an upper floor door for both sections.
The interior of the older granary was not accessible during the resurvey in November 2000, but the ground floor may have originally included a stable. The upper floor of the later section retains an elevator box and features a roof with double principal rafters, two tiers of purlins, a ridge-piece, and secondary rafters, all of which are intact.
