Description

5 Brecon Road is a stuccoed and painted villa with a natural slate roof, dating from the 19th century. It is a double-depth central entry plan, two-storey building with three windows. The central bay is slightly forward, containing the entrance and a gable above the window. The villa is in a plain classical style. The arched doorway has a raised stucco architrave with a keystone, above which is a 6-panel door with a fanlight. The windows are 1 over 1 pane sashes with raised stucco surrounds, which have keyed heads; the dressing and key to the head of the ground floor windows are missing. The villa has bracketted eaves, a small pediment gable, and a low-pitch roof with gable stacks. The rear elevation was not visible during a recent inspection, and the interior was not inspected.
