Description

The gatepiers are sandstone ashlar, square in section with a small base and a heavy modillion cornice cap. The capstone comes to a slight point to throw off the weather. Wrought iron spear double gates with a flat top rail. The gateway is joined to the lodge by a short section of park wall about 2.25m in height.
