Description

The gate piers at the west driveway to Peniarth are made of pale coloured ashlar gritstone. They are square in shape with panelled fronts and rise to a moulded cornice that has an outsetting design. At the top of the cornice, there is a large ball, from which a short square shaft extends, supporting a ring and ball finial. Attached to the piers is a pair of iron rod gates featuring dog rails and curved braces.
