Service yard range of buildings at Peniarth

The service yard range of buildings at Peniarth is a Grade II listed structure built from local rubble stone and topped with slate roofs. The layout is 'L'-shaped, forming two sides of the yard. The northeast side features a single-storey range of workshops, equipped with 4-pane sash windows and various openings. This side concludes on the right with a two-bay, two-storey cottage that has a centrally located boarded door and 4- and 6-pane windows, topped with a hipped roof. On the left, the range culminates in a slightly taller building with a pyramidal roof and a knob finial, which houses a granary on the upper floor. This building serves as a turning point for the single-storey range that extends at a right angle to the west-southwest, providing additional accommodation for horses and featuring two cart openings. The range ends with a walled driftway leading to the outer farmyard to the north. In front of the ranges, there is notable cobbled paving with decorative patterning in white pebbles.
