Description
The barn range at Penyrallt Home Farm is a long agricultural building from the late 19th century. It consists of a barn and cartsheds, featuring two storeys constructed from rubble with cut stone voussoirs around the openings. The roof is pitched, gabled, and covered with slate.
The main facade includes an attached range on the far left, which is separately listed. Next, there are paired cart entries with elliptical arches and stone voussoirs, above which is a centrally positioned 9-pane aluminium window. To the right of this section is a tall barn opening with a wide cambered head made of stone voussoirs. Further to the right is a tall ventilation slit.
The far right section has a central stable entrance on the ground floor, which is beneath a smaller cambered arch with similar voussoirs, and features paired, boarded timber doors. Flanking this entrance are lower ground floor windows with similar arch heads and slate sills, both of which are 12-pane aluminium framed casements. The upper storey has two smaller 6-pane aluminium framed windows positioned above the flanking windows, all supported by timber lintels.
The building has not been inspected.
