Description
The building is a barn with an attached L-shaped range located at Penlan. It is constructed from rubble sandstone and features a restored stone tile roof. The barn has renewed double full-height boarded doors for the cart passage to the right of the center, which are flanked by ventilation slits. To the left, there is a renewed boarded door beneath a timber lintel, and a loft opening is present in the left gable end. The rear cart passage doorway has been modified with inserted glazing and boarding below, and it is also flanked by ventilation slits. Further to the right, there is a small opening. The right gable end includes a lean-to with a slate roof that is attached to the cart shed. This cart shed forms one arm of the recently restored L-shaped range, while the other arm consists of farm buildings that have been converted into a dwelling. The barn features a 6-bay roof supported by king posts with raking struts, and the cart shed has a similar roof structure.
