Description

The byre at Penygilfach is constructed of snecked sandstone with larger quoins and features a tiled roof. It has three wide segmental-headed doorways with rebates and boarded doors facing the yard. Above these doorways are two equally-placed dormers, each with 4-pane windows that pivot centrally. On the left gable end, there is a boarded door to the left beneath a segmental head. To the right, there is a lower projection that has two boarded doors and adjacent windows. The building was not inspected at the time of the survey in December 1997.
