Description
The barn at Penyrheol is a late 17th century to early 18th century structure built of rubble sandstone, topped with a steeply pitched stone tile roof, which has been partially repaired. The front of the barn, which faces the road, features a lower gabled porch to the right of the center, equipped with boarded double doors. To the right of the porch, there is an added lean-to with a triangular breather above it. The right gable end of the barn includes three triangular breathers. On the rear side, there are two ventilation slits to the right of the doorway and a triangular breather in the upper left corner. The left end of the barn has a boarded door set beneath a timber lintel.
Inside, the barn has a tie beam roof, and the wagon bay is fitted with a flagged floor.
