Description

The barn at Henbant Fach is situated on a steeply sloping site, with its northern gable end built into the bank. The walls are constructed of rubble sandstone, while the timber framing below the eaves is clad in weatherboarding. The barn features a wide batter at the downhill end, and the roof is covered with concrete pantiles.

The front of the barn has central boarded doors leading to the wagon bay, and to the lower left, there is a boarded door that provides access to a former stable located beneath the barn floor. At the rear, external stone stairs lead to a central doorway framed in stop-chamfered wood, although the lower steps have been replaced with concrete.

Although the barn was not inspected during the survey in January 1998, it was recorded by Smith and Jones as retaining three pairs of upper crucks.
