Description

The building is an attached barn range to Penrallt Uchaf, dating from the early 18th century or earlier. The farmhouse features whitewashed rubble stone with asbestos roofs and red brick end stacks, the larger stack located on the left. It has one-and-a-half storeys and includes three large 20th-century eaves-breaking windows. On the ground floor, there are two four-light casements, a door, and a small 12-pane sash window. At the northeast corner, there is a gabled projection with a boarded window and door beneath a rough drip course, and a datestone above reading 'DI 1705'. There is also one side window. An added southwest rear wing has a brick end stack. Inside, the house has heavy beams and a fireplace lintel in the kitchen at the eastern end.

The barn is attached downhill to the east and has a slate roof. It features a camber-arched entry with stone voussoirs and double doors, positioned at an angle to the house projection. There is one loop window to the left. The barn has a four-bay roof with triple purlins and pegged collar trusses. Its end wall contains three stepped loops and six tiers of paired dove-holes in the gable, complete with slate shelves. Attached at the rear angle, downhill, is a stable with an asbestos roof, which includes a central door and a window on each side; the left window has stone voussoirs, while the door and the other window have timber lintels.
