Description
This is a possibly early 18th century outbuilding, which may have originally served as a house. It is constructed of rubble stone and features an asbestos roof, along with a large stone stack at the west end. The building is one storey with a loft, which is accessed from the sloping ground by steps next to the stack.
The south front has a central entry with a broad timber lintel and a window with a timber lintel to the right. There is a lean-to on the right end that has a battered wall base and a door in the end wall, with a loft light positioned above. At the rear, there are pig-sties attached to the building.
Inside, there is a heavy beam serving as the fireplace lintel and two heavy ceiling beams. The roof is supported by three heavy collar trusses.
