Description
The outbuilding at Shadog Farm is a long, single-storey agricultural structure built from rubble stone, with walls situated on an exposed shale outcrop. It features three irregularly spaced doors, each with timber lintels. The roof is pitched and gabled, covered with corrugated tin sheets, although the gable wall on the west side has been removed.
The eastern end of the building retains two bays of rough-hewn collar trusses that support rough-cut purlins, with small branch rafters laid over them. These branches support straw thatchwork, which is covered by corrugated sheets. The remainder of the roof is of 20th-century construction, featuring machine-cut truss frames that also support corrugated sheets.
