Large arched outbuilding on NW Side of Ffynone Farmyard

This large arched outbuilding, located on the northwest side of Ffynone Farmyard, is constructed from rubble stone and features a slate roof that is half-hipped at the front and deeply hipped at the rear, extending over the rear and side outshuts. The front of the building has two broad, tall arches separated by a stone pier, with brick arches and stone keystones. The central pier and the right-hand jamb are rebated.

To the right, there is an outshut with a cart-entry in the end wall, which has a cambered timber lintel. On the southeast corner, there is an attached stone outbuilding that features a loft window in its north wall, indicating that it likely predates the main building. The north outshut contains three vent loops and one opening to the right. The rear west outshut, which was formerly used as stables, has a window, a door, another window, and three doors, all of which have overlights. The south outshut includes a series of doors and windows, with the right two sections containing fireplaces, one of which has a copper.

The south roof is partly covered in fish-scale slates and has slightly lower eaves than the adjoining west slope. An attached southeast outbuilding has an asymmetrically pitched roof with a short rear pitch, and features rough windows on each floor at the south end. The east front of this outbuilding has a door and a window beneath a single timber lintel, positioned to the left.

Inside, the main space has a high collar-truss roof and does not provide access to the surrounding outshuts.
