Description
The outbuildings at the eastern end of the north farmyard range at Tremynydd Fawr are an early 19th-century barn and lofted cartshed constructed from rubble stone, topped with a grouted slate roof. The structure consists of two sections that share a single roof and appear to have been built together. The western end features a lofted area with a broad, flattened-arched cart entry beneath an outside staircase, as well as a similar arch inside. There is a ledged loft door, and the southern side has two square loft windows located under the eaves, along with one ground floor ventilation loop.
On the eastern end, there is a row of blocked-in brick dove holes situated under the eaves, and two doors on the southern side, one of which is raised without steps. At the southeast end, there are attached walls that may have belonged to a former outbuilding extending southward. The interior comprises seven bays.
