Description
Melin Abereiddy is an early 19th-century former watermill constructed of rubble stone. The building has two storeys on the west side and one storey on the east. It features a grouted slate roof with a stack at the south end. The east front includes a single door leading to the loft, with the door-head breaking the eaves, and a loft window on the south end. On the west front, there is a small 4-pane casement window on the first floor to the right of the centre, a ground floor door to the left, a blocked small window in the centre, and a small window to the right. The ground floor has the ruins of a lean-to, and there is a small window in the north gable. Immediately to the east and at right angles is a ruined stone building with a door on the east end. The mill-leat is located at the rear of the mill, and the wheel was situated on the south end wall. The condition of the building is poor.
