Description
Abereiddy Beach Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage, originally two separate cottages, built from rubble stone and featuring grouted slate roofs. The main section is two-storey with a rubble stone stack at the north end and has a one-room layout. The right section is single-storey with a loft and consists of two rooms, also with rubble stone end stacks. The roofline is irregular, adding to its picturesque appearance.
The main part of the cottage has a 9-pane sash window on the upper floor, a 12-pane sash window below, and a 4-pane door to the right, which is sheltered by a 20th-century gabled timber hood. The ground floor lintels have been replaced with concrete. The whitewashed north end wall features a 20th-century ground floor window in the original opening and a 9-pane window above it. The lower range to the south has a 16-pane sash window on the left and a 20th-century window in the former door opening on the right. The south end wall has a blocked door and a small loft window.
At the rear, there is a front garden enclosed by a whitewashed rubble wall, with a slate path leading to the front door.
