Description
Porthiddy Farmhouse is an early to mid 19th century farmhouse constructed from colourwashed roughcast rubble stone, featuring a grouted slate roof and rendered end stacks, with the northern end stack being larger. The building is two storeys high and has an off-centre arrangement of three windows, which are 4-pane sashes with painted reveals and slate sills. The entrance is located in a large roughcast gable porch. At the rear, there is an outshut.
The farmhouse is marked on the 1846 Tithe Map, although it likely does not appear on the maps from 1820 and 1826 found in the Pembrokeshire Record Office, despite buildings being indicated on the site. A door latch with the carved date of 1844 was previously attached to the front door.
