Description
This is an early 19th century cottage, originally small and single-storey, and substantially restored in later times. It is built of colourwashed rubble stone with an imitation slate roof and stone chimney stacks, the western stack being larger. The front has a central door, a small four-pane window to the left, and a larger four-pane window to the right, all with stone lintels. A further window is located at the west end. A more recent addition of unpainted rubble stone extends to the east, featuring an asbestos roof and three 20th-century four-pane windows. The west fireplace retains an original cambered timber lintel, although this is now partially concealed by a 20th-century beam. There is a smaller fireplace to the east. The roof structure incorporates sawn timber trusses.
