Description

This is a large square limekiln, dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century, located to the southwest of the ruins of Caerbwdy Mill. It measures approximately 7 meters square and is constructed from purple Caerbwdy rubble stone mixed with brown and grey boulders. The kiln features high kiln-eyes of the Dewisland type, with inward sloping heads to the stone lintels. The crucible is open but has become overgrown.
