Description
This is a mid-to-late 19th-century pair of semi-detached houses, built of coursed purple rubble stone. They have a paired gabled front, a slate roof with valley detailing, and side chimney stacks. The houses are two storeys and have an attic, each with a two-window front. Window surrounds are red brick. Each gable has a single, flat-headed four-pane sash window in the attic. The first floor has a narrow, round-arched window on the inner side, and a larger, camber-headed window with a small-paned margin light sash in the centre. The ground floor mirrors this arrangement, with a similar central window and an inner, round-arched doorway. The doorway has a traceried fanlight and a door with a single arched panel. No. 44 has carved bargeboards, while No. 46 has moulded bargeboards. The front gardens are enclosed by art-nouveau style low iron railings and gates.
