Description
Old School Cottage is an early 19th century small cottage built from whitewashed rubble stone and topped with a grouted slate roof. This double-fronted, low two-storey cottage features end stacks and has an outbuilding, which may have been a former cottage, to the east that is of similar height. The cottage has a tall brick stack on the west side and a stone stack on the ridge at the east. On the first floor, there are two 9-pane casement windows and two 12-pane sash windows, along with a central door on the ground floor, all of which have cambered painted brick heads. Additionally, there is a ground floor window located in the west end wall.
The outbuilding to the right includes a small fixed window situated under the eaves, above a 12-pane ground floor window and a ledged door to the right, also featuring cambered brick heads.
