Description
The building is an early 19th-century warehouse located at Messrs. Jewson's Premises. It is constructed from banded rubble stone and features a slate roof with coped gables and stone end stacks. The warehouse has a four-storey facade with five windows, and centrally located loading doors. The uppermost door is positioned just below the eaves and is sheltered by a hipped projecting hoist roof, which includes a cast-iron hoist wheel.
The ground floor is currently at a semi-basement level, with its openings now blocked. The first three floors have cut stone voussoirs above the windows, while the top floor windows are supported by timber lintels, and all windows have slate sills.
At the north end wall, there is a large vehicle entrance that has been cut through, and the original first floor has been removed. The south end wall features a loading door at the centre of the first floor and another loading door on the right side of the second floor. The rear wall is obscured by modern additions but was similar in style to the front facade.
