Description
Penberi, a large farmhouse from the early to mid 19th century, is constructed of whitewashed roughcast rubble and features slate roofs with purple Caerbwdy stone stacks. The main house has a two-storey, three-window front, which includes 20th-century plate glass sash windows and a central door with an overlight. To the right on the ground floor, there is a large 19th-century canted timber bay with a low roughcast base, four-pane sashes, a moulded cornice, and a fishscale slate roof. At the rear, there is an outshut.
Attached to the left is a lower two-storey service wing, which has a square rubble west stack and a rubble stone west end wall that lacks side stone stairs leading to the loft door. The front of the service wing is also whitewashed roughcast, featuring two four-pane windows above and two ground floor 20th-century metal windows flanking a central 20th-century door.
The main house is set behind a large terraced front garden, enclosed by a whitewashed rubble wall topped with a 20th-century pierced concrete block wall.
