Description
Gwrhyd Bach is a farmhouse constructed from rubble stone, featuring a grouted slate roof and brick end stacks. The building is two stories high and has a three-window facade with four-pane sash windows and slate sills. The central entrance consists of a four-panel door topped by an overlight.
To the north, there is a lower two-storey wing that may include part of the original house, which has a conical chimney noted by J Romilly Allen in 1902. This wing has a squat rendered end stack, two small four-pane sashes above, and a door below set in a round-arched stone surround. The wall around the doorcase is thicker, and to the right is a 19th-century four-pane sash window with a painted brick cambered head.
Inside, the service range features a very large fireplace at the north end, which has a timber lintel with a moulded edge.
Attached to the north of the farmhouse is a range of single-storey stone outbuildings, also with a grouted roof.
