Brewery/Laundry range at Peniarth

The Brewery/Laundry range at Peniarth is a single-storey building constructed of brick and stone, topped with a slate roof. It features a 19th-century open-fronted verandah along the northeast side, supported by slender iron columns and consisting of approximately seven bays. The end gables are accentuated with raised quoins that rise to kneelers and a moulded coped gable on the northwest side. The brewhouse at the southeast end boasts an 18th-century brick facade with stone quoins, presenting an attractive appearance towards the house. This elevation includes a plat band and a parapet with stone moulded copings, as well as two upper-level windows with flat rubbed brick lintels. Recently, this elevation has been rebuilt, incorporating new joinery into the existing openings, and features the Wynne arms applied to the parapet. Under the verandah, there are five timber battened doors leading to service rooms, along with various windows. The area is paved with cobbles and setts. At the northwest end, there is a blocked carriage arch with rubbed brick voussoirs.
