Description

Linear range of lofted cartshed and stable, with single-storey brewhouse at the SE end, and pigsties built to the SW corner of the SE end of the brewhouse. Roughly dressed stone and rubble masonry, with large stones forming the quoins and jambs; slate roof, the brewhouse with a tall dressed stone ridge stack with capping. The lofted cartshed/stable has timber lintels throughout, a large, roughly hewn lintel over the cartshed entrance. The entrance (NE) elevation faces the yard, the cartshed entrance to the right (with modern light over and offset to the right), the stable to the left flanked by 6-pane lights and with a boarded door to the opening above. Access to the loft was originally through doorways at each gable end; steps at the NW end have been removed and the opening at the SE end is now blocked. The brewhouse is a single storey building with doorways at the SE end, that to the left with shallow elliptical head of roughly dressed voussoirs; there is a 6-pane light set under the eaves along the NE wall. The 2-unit lean-to pigsty at the SW corner have been partly rebuilt with brick.

Ground floor of the lofted cartshed and stable has roughly chamfered beams, access to the loft and other buildings not possible at the time of the survey.
