Description
The outbuilding range on the south side of the service yard at Camrose House is a Grade II listed structure. This complex consists of two lofted outbuildings connected by small single-storey buildings around yards, all enclosed by a linking wall. The buildings are constructed from rubble stone with slate roofs and feature brick-headed openings.
The western end building has two storeys and presents a one-window range to the front, with cambered-headed six-pane windows on each floor. There is a door located in the right end wall, and at the rear, there is a similar one-window range to the left, accompanied by an added parallel range to the right, which is lofted and has a chimney at the eastern end. This building forms the eastern side of a small enclosed yard, which is bordered by a high northern rubble wall leading to the service yard and remnants of lean-to structures on three sides. Although brick piers remain, the roofs of these structures are missing. The walls feature small recesses on the back and right sides, while the stone rear southern wall has a door and ramps up to the right to a straight joint. The wall then ramps down to a low front wall of a small kennel yard, which is enclosed by iron railings and ramps up again to the right to connect with the gable end of the western building.
In the kennel yard, there are lean-to structures on the left and right, both in poor condition. On the courtyard side, the high wall ramps down behind the kennels and then rises again to the left end building, which is positioned at right angles. This lofted building features a gable end with a cambered window, a door in the eastern end wall with a cambered brick head, and one window on each floor of the rear gable. Inside the right end ground floor room, there are well-built stone steps leading to the loft, which are arched beneath.
