Description

The gate piers at the west end of Park Street date from the late 18th century and are made of millstone grit ashlar. They are square in section and feature lateral buttresses, standing approximately 4 metres tall. The piers have rusticated columns and buttresses, with decorative scrolls at the tops of the buttresses. Additionally, they are topped with moulded cornices and ball finials.
