Description
65 Monnow Street is a three-storey building of double depth, likely dating from the 18th century. It has a stucco front and is painted, with a Welsh slate roof. The building has two windows facing the street. The ground floor features a central shopfront with a stall-riser, side pilasters, plain glazing on either side of the door, transom lights, and a fascia. The windows above are 6 over 6 pane sashes on the first floor, and smaller 3 over 3 pane windows on the top floor; both are sash windows. The roof is steeply pitched and hipped towards the front. The rear elevation is not visible. The interior was not inspected during a recent survey. The group value of the building as part of the streetscape is recognised.
