Description

Nos. 62 and 64 Monnow Street Roughcast render in imitation of ashlar, natural slate roof. Double depth plan with central entry. Three storeys, three windows. The ground floor has a central plank door to house entry with shopfronts on either side. To the left the shopfront is original in its frame and dentil cornice, the window and door are late C20. To the right the whole shop is late C20. The first floor has two 6 over 6 pane sashes to the right (No. 64) but to the left this is a plastic replacement (No. 62). The upper floor has 3 over 6 pane sashes to the right and a plastic 6 over 6 pane window to the left. All windows have stone cills. Low pitch roof with stacks to either gable. Rear elevation not seen.

Partly early C19 shopfront with late C20 alteration.
