Description
Cefnrhychdir features an L-shaped range of farm buildings that form the east and north sides of the farmyard. Both structures are constructed from stone rubble, partially limewashed, and have stone tile roofs. The east range is two stories high, with a pitching door in the gable end and oculus ventilators. The ground floor has openings facing the yard, including a wide low doorway and one blocked arch. The roof extends forward to create a cart shed or carriage bay, and there is a rear opening leading to the field, with a boundary wall extending from the south end to the farmyard entrance. The north range has a deeper roof and is built into the hillside slope, featuring a loft opening in the gable end above the rear farmyard entrance. It has a series of square-headed openings onto the farmyard, protected by a pentice of Welsh slates. To the right, there is a smaller pentice over lower openings, with the wall battered. At the rear, there is a small central porch bay with a gabled roof of Welsh slates.
