Stables and Barn at the Fountain Inn

The stables and barn at the Fountain Inn are constructed of whitewashed rubble with a corrugated iron roof. The stable range consists of three bays and is stepped up to the upper end, featuring square boarded windows on either side of a central door. There is a rear door that has been blocked. The barn, which has a slightly steeper roof at the lower end, shows a rough masonry break that suggests it is not contemporary with the stables, although both structures are bonded at the rear. This break may indicate early repairs. There are central doorways for both the loft and ground floor, along with loop ventilators, which are also present at the rear. The uphill gable has a narrow blocked window with a stone dripmould. Both parts of the building have modern lofts.
