Description
The Railway Viaduct over Factory Road is a curved seven-bay structure made of snecked rock-faced stone. It features piers with wide splays supporting round arches that have impost bands. At the northern end, there are three piers and a northern abutment, which include tie rods connected to the spandrels, with square plates. The abutments are complemented by shallow buttresses. Below the parapet, there is a projecting band, and the parapet itself has rock-faced copings, ending with simple rectangular piers that are slightly splayed out. The deck of the viaduct is designed to accommodate a double track.
